As much as I love painting in detail there’s something that always lures me back to the simplicity of a black and white line drawing. Some feel clean and come with clarity, others are full of twists and tangles like a busy mind. Unlike a planned painting I can never predict the outcome, so I’m always surprised with the expression that comes through with each drawing.
 
To honour the variety of personalities in this series I have named each after a friend or family member.
 
They have been printed onto 350gsm Perlino Cotton paper; beautiful textured paper with insanely good environmental characteristics – FSC Certified, 20% recycled, 15% cotton fibres.
